FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

I typically end up with between 50-100 photos per hour of shooting, but it may be more depending on how many I fall in love with.

Do you travel outside of Minnesota?

YES! I absolutely LOVE to travel. I do charge a travel fee of $0.65 per driven mile for destinations more than 50 miles from the Twin Cities or Omaha, or I charge the cost of a flight, hotel, and rental car for destination weddings/ weddings more than 400 miles from where I live. However, for certain destinations I've been dreaming of visiting, I may offer a discount! Check out my wedding services page to learn more about which locations are eligible.

What is the expected turnaround time for photos?

Great question! For all sessions, I do a sneak peek within 72 hours of the event. Then, for weddings you can expect a turnaround time of about 4-6 weeks and for all other sessions you will receive photos in 2-4 weeks.

Can you photoshop me to look a certain way?

Unfortunately, I do not offer this as a service as it is against my ethical code. I believe all humans are beautiful just the way they are, and I do not believe in altering one's appearance to fit a certain standard of beauty. I may be able to fix an out of place hair or cover up an unfortunate blemish, but I do not make changes that stray from your typical appearance.

How should we dress for our session?

I recommend you wear colors that compliment each other without being too "matchy". Wear something you are comfortable in that makes you feel special. Feeling confident in how you look will help you relax more in front of the camera!
If you need guidance, I am happy to offer input when requested.

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

Of course! My job is to help you feel comfortable during your session. I will offer fun prompts that will help you loosen up and be yourselves. You don't need experience with photoshoots to get great photos!

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes absolutely! My typical process is a retainer fee of 1/3 the total cost for weddings and 1/2 for other sessions. For the remaining payments, if it's easier to break it up into chunks I can work with you to set up a payment schedule that works.
